I added Psalms 46:10 to one of my original watercolor paintings to create this art print, "Be still and know that I am God." This verse reminds us to rest in who God is. It is encouraging and comforting. It is a Psalm of the Sons of Korah written in a time of trouble and war. In addition to comforting it's readers, it was mean to remind them to stop striving, stop fearing, wake up and acknowledge who God is; to recognize His awesome power. "God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble..." Psalm 46

From Science to Art... Hi and welcome! I am a watercolor artist who lives in Youngstown, Ohio with my loving husband and two kitties. I discovered my artistic abilities in my 40's, until then believing I didn't have any talent. I grew up hating art class, always comparing my lopsided drawings and childish paintings to other students' work. It didn't come easily to me like other school subjects, so I never had any desire to pursue it. Instead, I focused on what I was good at: science and math. I received a degree in Chemistry and went on to pursue a career in Analytical Chemistry. A second career at a Financial data and software company followed, filling my days with spreadsheets, data collection, problem-solving, and meetings. A few...
